What is Connect?

‘Connect’ is our online SharingBipolar Community peer support forum where you can:

  • Talk about mental health and bipolar disorder, and
  • Find others who understand what you’re going through.

We all know what it’s like to struggle sometimes. Connect provides a safe place to listen, share and be heard. Whether you’re feeling good right now or having a hard time, the Connect forum is a safe place to share experiences and listen to others. Our service is available to all, 24/7.

Connect is a moderated open forum, we respect freedom of speech but discourage anything that is not conducive to a productive, supportive conversation.

Please familiarise yourself with our website terms including our ‘Connect’ usage restrictions at the foot of every page.

What is Connect for?

Connect is grounded in the values of peer support. It’s a welcoming place for people to:

  • Make connections,
  • Share experiences,
  • Learn from each other, and
  • Feel inspired to take positive steps on their mental health journey.

It’s important to note Connect isn’t a crisis service, neither is any of the Sharing Bipolar Community tools available. We ask all members to use Connect safely and to access other forms of support if they think they may need urgent help.

Please check out our information and advice if you are looking for crisis help. If you or someone you’re with is in immediate danger, call 999.
